Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Draft for review: this policy is a working template pending review by legal counsel familiar with PIPL (China) and GDPR (EU).

1. Who we are

LUNOVA (路·诺·华) ("we," "us," "our") is a bilingual marketing studio based in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. This policy explains what information we collect through hellolunova.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, company name, email address, and WeChat ID (if provided) when you submit a contact form
  • The content of any message you send us
  • Information shared during a sales call, email exchange, or signed engagement

Information collected automatically:

  • Standard analytics data: pages visited, time on page, referral source, general device type, and approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise geolocation)
  • We use privacy-respecting analytics tools configured to minimize personal data collection and do not sell or rent visitor data to third parties

Information we do not collect: we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (financial account numbers, government ID numbers, health data) through the Site's contact or analytics systems. If such information is exchanged during a client engagement, it is governed by the confidentiality terms of that signed agreement, not by general Site browsing.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we're a good fit to work together
  • To deliver, manage, and report on services under a signed client agreement
  • To improve the Site's content, structure, and performance
  • To send information you've specifically requested (for example, a case study or proposal)

We do not add you to a marketing or newsletter list without your explicit consent, and we do not use your contact information for any purpose beyond what you'd reasonably expect from submitting an inquiry.

4. Legal basis for processing (EU/EEA visitors)

Where GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing personal data are: your consent (for optional communications), the necessity of processing to take steps toward a contract at your request (for inquiries and proposals), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Site (for basic analytics).

5. Where it's stored and how long we keep it

Contact and inquiry information is stored in our email and CRM systems, which may be hosted on servers outside your country of residence, including in China. We retain inquiry data only as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if a relationship develops, for the duration of the client relationship plus a reasonable period for legal, accounting, and business record-keeping purposes. Data related to signed client engagements is retained per the terms of that agreement and applicable law.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary for the Site to function correctly and for basic, privacy-respecting analytics (understanding which pages are useful, not tracking individuals across other websites). We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this Site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some Site functionality.

7. Third-party sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site or deliver client work (for example, hosting providers, email tools, CRM software), bound by confidentiality obligations
  • Authorities, if required by applicable law or a valid legal process

8. AI systems and search engines

Portions of this Site are intentionally structured to be readable by search engines and AI systems (including tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews) so that our public content — service descriptions, articles, and company information — can be found and cited accurately. This applies only to public-facing content; it does not extend to any personal information submitted through contact forms, which is never intentionally exposed to crawlers or AI systems.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing info@hellolunova.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights:

  • EU/EEA (GDPR): rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • China (PIPL): rights to know, decide, access, correct, and delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to request an explanation of our processing rules.
  • Other jurisdictions: we will honor equivalent rights to the extent required by applicable data protection law.

We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

10. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International data transfers

Because LUNOVA operates in China and serves clients internationally, information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including China, which may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date on this page.
